Whatever holds our gaze, holds infinitely more than we can ever know. This divide creates a state of constant tension between what we see - the lines, the colors, the forms - and what they mean. We try to explain. We try to understand. Words approach the satisfactory, then they crumble. Scrutiny, like a machine gun, collapses logic. Our words have failed us once again.
